About the Tour
From Hercules and Theseus to the Olympian gods, from Nereus and the Lernaean Hydra to the Amazons, the Giants and the Centaurs, and from the supergiant Typhon to the Gorgon Medusa and the Sphinx, many reliefs and statues from the celebrated temples of the Acropolis have wonderful stories to tell!
Let’s unlock them in the language of art while having fun!
We shall outline the special features and symbols of the individual figures and we shall explain how their action and interaction is depicted in a scene, so that they can tell us a story without any words! With the help of detailed photographic views and videos, we shall stroll virtually through the galleries of the New Acropolis Μuseum, focusing on the selected exhibits and reconstructing, through graphics and 3D representations, the original form of the sculptures, all complete with their bright colors!
Educational activities, such as games, quizzes, role-playing, and mini contests among student groups or classes, with little surprise prizes from us, will give children the opportunity for active participation and creative reflection on what they have seen and heard, completing this colorful, both literally and figuratively, experience!
