Visiting the magnificent, fortified citadel of Mycenae in the Argolid is literally a journey deep in the prehistory of Greece. This magnificent site gave its name to the great Mycenaean Civilization associated with several myths and legends of the ancient world. The spectacular Grave Circles, the famous Lion Gate and the so-called "Treasury of Atreus" are only some of the highlights of this e-tour, yet aspects of everyday life, mercantile activities, elite ideology and rulership, military technology and the complex bureaucratic system will be discussed as well.
